INSTANT JALEBI (Pakistan sweet)

By Asma Aziz Ingredients: Maida half cup Corn starch 1 tablespoon Yogurt 1 tbsp Rapid rise yeast 1 teaspoon Baking powder 1 teaspoon Yellow color 1/2 teaspoon Sugar 1 cup Water 3/4 cup 1) In a bowl, Add 1 tablespoon of yogurt and yeast mixture Cover it and let it rise for about 15-20 min Add 1 teaspoon of oil and water and mix to get a smooth consistency Mix sugar and water in a heavy bottom pan and simmer till 1 thread consistency Bring down the temperature of the sugar syrup once the consistency is 2 thread Squeeze lime juice to prevent crystallization Mix saffron, rose syrup and yellow color To make Jalebi -take a squeeze bottle and fill it with Jalebi mixture -heat oil in a deep frying pan and squeeze the jalebis -impress in the sugar syrup for about 20 sec and remove -serve hot.
